About Us

Located in the heart of Constable Country, just two minutes off the A12, and within walking distance of Flatford Mill and the Dedham Vale. Situated within a 17th Century Grade II listed Cottage, The Haywain is a small, elegantly casual restaurant, seating just twenty people with an additional seating area for eight in the outside patio at Lunch and in the summer months. The restaurant is made up of three rooms, one of which, our cellar room, is completely private and able to seat up to eight people. We are proud of the fact that your table is your table for the evening and we encourage all our guests to really relax and make the most of your visit with us, however long or short your stay is.
